Sheltair Aviation Group is a collective group of companies that provide all types of aviation services, but are most well known for their service with the business jet community. Sheltair Aviation group is located in Florida, with a few other locations in New York and Georgia. The location in Tampa International Airport (TPA) is where Sheltair is rated one of the top FBOs from an AIN FBO survey for all of its years of service. Sheltair Tampa was among the highest scorers for FBO service with a score of 4.78 out of 5 which categorizes them in the top three of FBOs. Sheltair was one of the most used FBOs last year because the Super Bowl was being played at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium despite the attendance restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sheltair has IS-BAH Stage 2 registration and provides a 13,000 sq ft aircraft canopy to protect passengers and the aircraft from Florida intense weather during the summer months. There is also a 150,000 sq ft aircraft hangar that is capable of sheltering a Global 7500, and is home to46 turbine powered aircraft. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sheltair is going to invest in a $20 million hanger expansion that will add roughly 75,000 sq ft of hangar, 17,000 sq ft of office space, new ramps, and a gated parking lot for use by Tampas Super Bowl Champions the Buccaneers as well as the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning.
