Tampa International Airport (TPA) in Florida has once again been named North America’s second best large airport by J.D. Power. TPA was edged out by one out of 1,000 available points by Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. TPA also placed second in 2020, up from 3rd in 2019, and has held a top 5 rating in the survey since 2015. Tampa International Airport was edged out by only one of the available 1,000 points by Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, which recently completed a $1 billion capital improvement program.

Tampa International Airport’s CEO, Joe Lopano, said, “Tampa International Airport has been a longtime favorite among travelers from around the world, and to continue that legacy throughout the pandemic speaks to the strength of our team. It’s only going to get better as we finish several major construction projects in the coming months and look to even more exciting developments on the horizon in 2022.”

Tampa International Airport regularly ranks in the top 10 among North American airports with several publications and surveys including the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Travel+Leisure and Airports Council International (ACI).
