Boeing 737 Jet crashes with 130+ People on Board

A Boeing 737 that was operated by China Eastern Airlines crashed just last night. The aircraft carried 132 passengers with them and plunged during the flight, and then crashed in an area filled with mountains. On impact, the plane caught on fire.

The plane left around 1:11pm (local time) and was enroute to land at Guangzhou in two hours. The plane was cruising around 29,000 feet and began it’s descent around 2:20 pm, falling more than 25,000 feet in about 2 minutes.

Richard Abouladia, Managing Director of Aerodynamic Advisory, said that “this kind of tragedy is extremely unusual.”

As of now, investigators are working to recover the remains from the incident along with some of the voice-overs, flight data, and other related information. They will also take a look at some of the previous flights the plane has taken along with maintenance history, pilot health, and weather data.

It is not stated that each of the 123 passengers are confirmed dead, but if that were the case, it would be one of the most deadliest crashes in all of history.
