Ukraine closed its air space to civilian vessels on February 24.

On Tuesday, September 13, the first commercial aircraft since April 2022 departed Ukraine, according to Flightradar24, which follows the movement of planes all over the world. The Airbus A320 departed from Lviv and arrived in Poland.

The Director of Public Relations at Flightradar24, Jan Pechenik, confirmed: “We can confirm that the A320 HA-LWS took off yesterday from Lviv and arrived in Katowice.”

The crew crossed the border into Poland, and shortly after turned on the transponder. Because of this, there is no available data of an exact departure time. This was most likely done for security reasons. The airliner belonged to the Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air, but it is not known whether this particular board is used by the carrier.
