Private Jet Charter Prices

  • Generally, the cost to fly privately varies depending on numerous variables, such as aircraft type to convenience for the owner of the aircraft
  • Empty leg flights drastically reduce the price of flights and greatly benefit both the client and operator

When it comes to predicting the cost of any given charter flight, it is difficult to give an accurate estimation. Prices constantly fluctuate based on the day of the week, the routing, booked flights being cancelled and more. On average, a turboprop or small jet will cost $1,300- $3,000 per hour of flight, $4,000- $8,000 an hour for a midsize jet, and $8,600- $13,000 an hour on a heavier jet.

A way these prices can be reduced is by booking an empty leg flight. These occur when an operator is either trying to return their aircraft to their base or reposition for another charter and they are looking for passengers to make a profit. These options can take up to 75% off the price of a comparable flight. This results in a mutual benefit; the customers pay much less and the operator makes a profit that they otherwise would not have made.
