- The community is taking time to recover and heal from the tragedy
Due to the fatal Challenger 605 crash that occurred on the 27th of July, the Truckee-Tahoe Airport has decided to cancel their airshow scheduled in September. This was done in order for the community to recover from the tragic occurrence; the board members believe this is the best decision for the community. Along with this, the airport is taking a cautious approach considering the volume of aircraft accidents in the past weeks in California. The board along with the staff of the airport decided on the cancellation.
