- New Hydrogen aircraft Embraer is looking to manufacture
Embraer is projected to deliver 65-70 commercial airplanes in the next year, which is 20 more machines than 2020-2021. Embraers CEO, Francisco Gomes Neto predicted more sales in 2021, following the recent sale of 16 E175s to U.S. Regional airline SkyWest. Embraer is also looking to produce a hydrogen-powered aircraft in the next four years as well as manufacturing a crop-spraying aircraft converted to electric propulsion. Embraer VP of Engineering and Product Development, Luis Carlos Affonso revealed the turboprop would feature the same cross-section as its existing family of E-Jets regional airliners while burning 20 percent less fuel.
This increased commercial aircraft deliveries are reflecting a gradual aviation market recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, as 94% of Embraers fleet is back flying around the world. In the second quarter of this year, Embraer has delivered 14 commercial jets, totalling 23 deliveries this year with $1.13 billion in revenue for the Company. This is equal to a growth of 110% compared to the year of the pandemic. First half 2021 revenues grew 65.5 percent compared with the same period in 2020
