- Inside Lewis Hamiltons Private Jet before he sold it
It seems that winning the Formula One Championship five times wasn’t enough to make Hamilton satisfied, so he had to buy several lavish cars and a private jet. Considering that Hamilton earned $50 million in 2018, according to Forbes, he’s not worried about running out of cash after splurging on a private jet.
Apparently, the Lewis Hamilton private jet, a Bombardier Challenger 605, was sold by the world champion. It was also worth noting that it was named in the infamous Paradise Papers. As it turned out, the 34-year-old got a £3.3million VAT refund on the jet.
According to reports, the Lewis Hamilton private jet was purchased by his company in the British Virgin Islands. Afterwards, is was leased to a second company in the Isle of Man, and again, to a third private company. Once the game of musical chairs was done, it went back to Lewis Hamilton.
The aircraft was bought in 2013 and he frequently used it to post pictures of him and his dogs, Roscoe and Coco. However, following the decision to adopt a greener lifestyle, he sold it.
