GlobalX, a Florida-based charter company, has shown interest in purchasing 50 electric Eviation Alice aircraft.
The Eviation Alice has a range of 650 miles (1,046 km) and can seat up to nine people. It is powered by three electric motors, with one motor powering each main wheel.
The aircraft company stated that it would use the planes for passenger routes among Florida, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean.
Eviation President Gregory Davis stated: “Alice represents a pioneering approach to making this type of aviation sustainable for generations to come. We are delighted to enter this agreement with GlobalX, whose investment in zero-emissions flight demonstrates the airline’s commitment to cleaner skies, lower operational costs, and the provision of the most innovative options for air travel.”
GlobalX plans to receive its first Alice in 2027.
