Airlines from 36 nations have banned flights to Russia. There are a few airlines that are not banned, and are profiting from being open.

With obvious risks at state, the move is a blow to Russia’s profitability in the aviation industry as well as tourism profits. The following list of countries have banned flights to Russia:

Albania, Anguilla, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark (including Greenland, Faroe Islands, Territorial Seas), Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Gibraltar, Hungary, Jersey, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Switzerland is reported to accompany these countries in the same move, sources indicate. The country’s primary carrier being SWISS, has cancelled all flights into Russia.

Serbia is one of the known only countries that is still conducting flights to Russia. However, there are many other flights that are not in operation. Since Serbia is one of the only places with an easement of restrictions in regards to the situation with Russia, they have profited enormously.
