- G700 Can Fly 7,500 Nautical Miles Nonstop
- Top Speed is 0.925 Mach
Elon Musk has placed an order for a new, top-of-the-line private jet, according to a news story from Austonia: a Gulfstream G700. Delivery is expected in early 2023.
The G700, according to Gulfstream’s website, can fly 7,500 nautical miles nonstop from Austin to Hong Kong thanks to two high-thrust Rolls-Royce engines. It also has a large cabin, with space for up to 19 passengers, and can be outfitted with a variety of “living area” options. The G700’s cabin is designed to be “customizable,” with space for up to five living areas, including a bedroom, bathroom, and shower. The jet’s top speed is 0.925 Mach, or about 700 miles per hour. The G700 has a base price of $78 million.
Elon Musk is no stranger to private jets. He currently owns two private jets: a Gulfstream G550 and a Gulfstream G650 ER, the aircraft has gained a bit of infamy thanks to the automated @elonjet Twitter account, which monitors and reports Elon’s personal aircraft’s activities using public data.
