Textron Aviation has announced that the fourth variant of its successful 560XL model has received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification just over two weeks after obtaining FAA type certification for the Cessna Citation XLS Gen2.
Textron Aviation shared the news on Twitter, saying: “We’re happy to share we have earned European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) type certification for the @Cessna Citation XLS Gen2 business jet!”
Textron Aviation senior vice president of global sales and flight operations Lannie O’Bannion added: “This will pave the way for deliveries of the XLS Gen2 throughout Europe.”
