The tragic death of a passenger on a private jet that hit heavy turbulence while flying over New England has been identified as Dana J. Hyde, a former White House official and prominent Washington D.C. lawyer. Hyde served on both the Clinton and Obama administrations, as well as the 9/11 Commission, making her a well-respected figure in the political world.
According to NBC News, the Connecticut State Troopers were the agency responsible for identifying Hyde. They are also one of the agencies investigating the emergency landing at Bradley International Airport on Friday, which was caused by the turbulence that resulted in Hyde’s death. The National Transportation Safety Board and FBI are also conducting investigations and will analyze information from the flight data recorder, cockpit voice recorder, and other sources of information such as weather data.
