A captain on a flight from Pakistan refused to fly a plane because he did not want to work extra hours.
His aircraft made an emergency landing for weather related reasons, and once he was finished with his shift, he refused to fly the plane any further.
The passengers of the plane grew with frustration as they learned about the captain’s reasoning for not flying the plane. In response, they refused to get off the plane.
Authorities got tied into the loop as they had to resolve the situation.
In response to the situation, the passengers were given a hotel room to stay in and the captain did not fly the plane that night.
A spokesperson of the airport made a statement. “It is necessary for the pilots to take proper rest prior to flying for flight safety so arrangements were made in this regard.”
