Ever since the start of COVID-19, a 1/3 of the pilots have not been working because of outstanding laws with social distancing.
With the market in the aviation industry sending mixed signals, a lot of the pilots are on furlough or are not working. A new survey asked over 1,500 pilots about their work status, and 1/3 of them said that they were on leave or not working.
The aviation industry is a long way ahead to a full recovery, with the aviation demand being uncertain and pilots not being in office that much.
The market for pilots is in question with few people willing to dive into the industry and so many furloughed and unemployed.
