- The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
- Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have stepped back from the royal family, but they certainly haven’t given up their luxurious lifestyle. According to MailOnline, when they fly privately, they choose to do so in a lavish 12-seater Cessna jet.
The Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign plane is reportedly equipped with luxurious interiors, including spacious bathrooms, mood lighting, comfortable leather seats, and onboard WiFi with executive desks. The Sussexes likely chose to fly via private jet because it would be more comfortable and convenient for their children.
The exact cost of this luxurious private jet is not known, but it is estimated to be around £5.2m. This makes it one the most expensive private jets owned by a member of the royal family – second only to Prince Charles and Camilla‘s £7m Bombardier Global Express XRS.
The luxury of the Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign is certainly no surprise, given Meghan and Harry‘s penchant for extravagant living. In their final months as senior members of the royal family, they even requested that taxpayers foot the bill for a £2.4m renovation on their Frogmore Cottage residence.
