Michael Jordan‘s private jet was spotted departing Palm Beach International Airport on a private jet on Thursday. It’s not clear where the basketball legend was headed, but it’s likely he wanted to get out of the hurricane’s path.
At 3:05 p.m. Eastern, Hurricane Ian made landfall near Cayo Costa, Florida as a catastrophic Category 4 storm with maximum sustained winds of 150 mph. It was the first major hurricane to hit the state since 2006.
The catastrophic major hurricane has brought life-threatening winds, widespread flooding, and several tornadoes as it pummels Southwest Florida.
DeSantis has declared a state of emergency in all 67 counties in Florida. He’s urging residents to stay safe and follow the advice of local officials.
