Tom Cruise flew high to express his gratitude for making “Top Gun: Maverick” the most successful movie of the year.
During CBS‘ Sunday NFL coverage, football fans were given a special surprise in the form of an advertisement from Tom Cruise, thanks to his upcoming “Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning” film. In this video, he expressed sincere appreciation towards his supporters for making 2022 such an incredible year.
“I didn’t want the year to end without thanking you all for coming out to the theaters,” Cruise says in the footage. “Thank you for supporting Top Gun: Maverick!”
Before he could even finish, Christopher McQuarrie, the director of “Dead Reckoning” and screenwriter for “Top Gun: Maverick”, jokingly reminded him to keep his words short so they can quickly capture a shot of Tom Cruise jumping out of an airplane for the Mission: Impossible movie.
With a casual grace, Tom Cruise stepped off the aircraft and plunged towards the ground below in a thrilling free-fall.
