Former FTX employees claim that, in the months leading up to the company’s catastrophic collapse, executives carelessly spent money and showered workers with lavish gifts such as free food and massages – all while Amazon deliveries were made by private jet to FTX’s headquarters in the Bahamas, according to New York Post.

Because Amazon does not deliver to the Bahamas, FTX decided to charter private planes so their orders could be flown from Miami to the company headquarters. To make things easier for their US employees, they were given $200 per day to use for DoorDash food delivery.

Additionally, the company offered its employees perks such as free massages, spa treatments, and yoga classes. Some of these services were even provided in the office.

FTX’s spending included large ad campaigns with featuring celebrities such as NFL legend Tom Brady and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Larry David.

David is now a part of a class action suit against FTX and its ex-CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, which includes other notable plaintiffs such as Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen, Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors, Shaquille O’Neal, and Naomi Osaka.
