Cincinnati Bengal’s team Plane Makes Emergency Landing at JFK Airport

Mark Slaughter of WLWT NBC in Cincinnati, verified by Paul Dehner Jr. from The Athletic, reported that the Bengals’ team plane experienced engine trouble and had to make an emergency landing at JFK Airport in New York City which required a change of aircrafts.

According to tweets from @SportsAviation, the Bengals took Delta Flight 8861 – departing T.F. Green International Airport in Warwick, Rhode Island at 7:35 pm ET and touching down 71 minutes later at John F Kennedy Airport.

The Bengals had just finished a 22-18 victory over the New England Patriots and were switching planes at JFK Airport when the emergency landing took place. No one was injured in the incident.

The team arrived back in Cincinnati safely later that night, and players thanked their pilot on social media for his quick thinking, skill and professionalism during the emergency landing.
