A Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet Jet “Blew Overboard”  One Sailor Was Injured While Performing Operations According to a Navy news release, “On July 8, 2022, a F/A-18 Super Hornet from Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1 embarked on USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), was blown overboard due to unexpected severe weather in the Mediterranean Sea.” The $65.9 million fighter jet is the same type as those in the most recent blockbuster sequel “Top Gun: Maverick”, flown by Tom Cruise.
